This mid-century home located in Central Austin, Texas underwent a major renovation inside and out. Dirt and Designs was delighted to design the surrounding landscape for this sweet homeowner and Violet, the widdle dachshund, full of ear licks!

A paver-patio was added to the backyard after significant grading and drainage work was addressed. The original homes foundation was inches below the soil creating drainage woes with storm water. A three-part, low-stone wall followed the grade, creating spaces for a future stock tank pool, dining al fresco, herb garden, firepit and oversized garden beds sprawled under pecans and pathed with shady grass. The firepit lounge is embraced in a fragrant herb garden, especially aromatic during the warmer months, bountiful for culinary uses, and a beautiful surrounding for a conversation space.
